Sawyer Speton Harvey is a Vancouver-based illustrator with an interest in the dark and fantastical. His body of work draws on somber themes, a reflection of his upbringing as a queer youth in a rural area. The liminality of work is tied to this isolation, reaching out to those who share similar experiences. He works traditionally with pen and ink, as well as digitally. He is currently studying at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, hoping to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 2026. He is majoring in illustration, with a minor in curatorial practices in order to broaden the scope of his work. His current focus is in book illustration and editorial. He is available for freelance commissions via ko-fi or email.Featured illustration: Mousetrap, pen and ink, 2026.
